Yeah it's been a safe effort all round. :)

Depends on how you'd want to do it really.

I suppose, technically, a dscography is just a list of all the "actual" releases of a band.

Good point that Bushi. :)

"Ambassador" is indeed the 11th tune on T & S.

Also - remember the US release of Greatest Hits CW.  "Straight Outta Newport".  The track list was identicle - just had added single videos.  :)

*makes ehh err noise*. sorry but i have to disagree with that statement. Draw Ambassador was never on T & S, it's one of those 'spectre' style tracks that doesn't seem to fit in anywhere. i bought T & S in spillers records and it only had 10 tracks. sorry to complicate things!

Good idea!  :)

I reckon that "Don't Blame The Chain" came out first.  It does have a first track called "Welcome" (aka "DCI, The Interrogation", I presume?) while "Chain's Addiction"'s first's called, "The Return".  Bit of a giveaway, I think?!

also, on one song, someone says 'dont blame the chain really started the ignition'.....

You dont get acetate CD's.

An acetate is a "wobbly" record made of... acetate.

They are really cheap to get made so ideal for a limited release from a band just starting out. :)

You put the acetate on top of another record on the deck and it plays.

Without wishing to create another mass-debate :P I think the site is referring to cd-r acetates. However, I remember owning some of those 'floppy' acetates that Reg is talking about, they were quite cool :D

The "CD Acetate"

They are aware it's not an actual acetate as such - they've just called it that - or - other people have. Hence the " " around it. It makes no sense - a CD made out of acetate??? Behave.

Their definition of a "vinyl" acetate is flawed there too.

While it is sometimes used as a "between demo and final studio recording" I think you'll find acetates are much widely produced/used by DJ's, up and coming bands etc as a way to release a cheap format (especially for dance/hip hop that vinyl DJ's will want to play out).

They are cheap - sometimes i get bits and pieces of bootleg/rare stuff and get it put on an acetate at the recording studio's in the Seagate in Dundee.

It's cheap as f*ck - the guy will run me off 5 copies for next to nowt.

Various P2P sites have them, there are some Mp3's on the YouKnowsIt lowtech site or, if you want them all in one fowl swoop - there's always eBay... but I disagree with folk making money out of the CD's the Chain passed around for free (of sorts).
